I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and taking wallpaper down with one baby strapped to my back while the other babies were playing in the playpen. Ha! The house was starting to look nice, but there were a few things that needed to be left. It was going to take a lot of money effort as well as my favourite brands of furniture interiors to decorate this place. There was a place at the local markets in which I sold my pieces. There were lots of pieces, I didn't know what to do and I outgrew my space. The number of people who visited my house in one weekend, to shop for everything that was on the ground. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Not only was my business expanding, but so was our sweet family as well. The balance was between starting a new business and being a mother. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora my 4th child was born in the year 2013. This was an excellent direction for my business, however, I needed some time off. I made the decision to take a break and stay at home, spending time with my children. It was the ideal thing to do. After a while, without a phone, it began to ring. They wanted my assistance in decorating as well as renovations. Most of these people were those who had walked through my house during open houses for furniture! I started taking on some clients at a time going at my own pace but it wasn't too long before I had multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. Had you told me my company would become the premise for a DIY Network show, I likely would have thought you were crazy. In fact, I do smile when I think about it.
