Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 in an Olympic celebration. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci when she was six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics coach. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969 placing 13th and she took the title in the year 1970. In her 1972 first international event that was an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. When she made her debut as a senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion who won four golds and one argent. She was the first woman to complete a reverse double salo with the uneven parallel bar after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. She began her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years in which she was a part of a figure skating duo with her twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. Early on she was a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows included ice skating performances that were followed by musical performances.
